In Ontario, new, relocated or modified racking at an industrial workplace often requires a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation 851. We coordinate the engineer review, fix anything flagged, and hand you the report and load signage.

How it stacks up
What a PSR checks
The engineer reviews the design and installed condition against the applicable standards: component capacities, frame and beam combinations, anchoring, clearances, guarding and posted load ratings. Deficiencies are listed and must be corrected before the racking is used.
Why used rack needs it most
Used components often arrive without original manufacturer data. A PSR confirms the system you actually built is rated for the loads you'll actually store.

What is a PSR for racking?
A Pre-Start Health and Safety Review is an engineer's review required by Ontario Regulation 851 in certain cases before new or modified equipment, including storage racking, is put into use.
Does my racking need a PSR?
It depends on the installation and use. Many racking installs and modifications at industrial workplaces do. We'll tell you whether yours does and handle it if so.
What does CSA A344 cover?
CSA A344 is the Canadian standard guide for the design, installation, use, inspection and maintenance of steel storage racks, including load signage.
